Services & ensembles

What live music options are available for weddings?

Solo musicians, duets, trios and full string quartets are available, with custom performance setups considered for your celebration.

Which ensemble works best for ceremonies and receptions?

Strings bring an intimate, romantic atmosphere to ceremonies. A quartet or a larger ensemble can add depth and presence to a cocktail reception or banquet.

Can you play for outdoor ceremonies in Hong Kong?

Outdoor performances may be arranged, subject to appropriate weather protection and venue conditions.

What if our venue has limited space?

We can recommend an ensemble size and seating layout to suit the available space.

Music & personalisation

Can we request our own songs?

Yes. Bookings include up to five song selections. Additional arrangements may be charged separately.

How many songs do we need to choose for the ceremony?

Choose music for key moments such as the entrances, signing and recessional. Background selections can be curated by the music director.

How are performance times and breaks structured?

The original website offers performances of one, two or three hours, with brief breaks of up to ten minutes per hour.

What do the musicians wear?

Our musicians perform in formal black attire, suited to weddings and elegant private occasions.

Logistics & equipment

Do we need a sound system?

Acoustic chamber music typically needs no amplification indoors. For larger spaces, discuss the venue’s existing audio equipment with us.

When will musicians arrive?

Performers typically arrive around 30 minutes before the scheduled performance to prepare.

What are the requirements for outdoor music?

A shaded, dry area protected from direct sun and rain is needed to safeguard string instruments.

Do you play for corporate events?

Yes, including VIP receptions, brand events, annual dinners and cultural occasions.

Booking & planning

What is the team’s background?

The ensemble is led by Music Director Scarlett Choi, a Hong Kong–trained violinist, alongside other experienced professional musicians.

How early should we book?

Booking six to twelve months ahead is recommended for peak wedding periods and weekends.

What is the booking process?

Send the event details, choose an ensemble, confirm the quotation and deposit, then finalise songs and the programme timeline before the date.

Can performance time be extended on the day?

Extensions may be possible. Overtime is charged in 30-minute blocks under the original website’s published guidance.

The Romantic Period experience

Why choose live music over a playlist?

Musicians can respond naturally to changing timings and create a personal connection with your guests.

What makes Romantic Period different?

Classical performance experience combines with carefully arranged contemporary music and bespoke event planning.

Can we watch previous performances?

Yes. Visit our performance film collection for recordings of the ensemble.

How do we enquire?

Use the booking page, send an email, or contact the team through WhatsApp.
